ДИХОТОМИЧЕСКИЕ ПЕРИОДЫ В ГРАММАТИЧЕСКОЙ ТРАДИЦИИ АНГЛИЙСКОГО ЯЗЫКОЗНАНИЯ

Аннотация

В статье произведен анализ двух периодов изучения сложного предложения в истории английского языкознания: первый - дихотомический (конец XVII - начало XVIII в.), возникший вследствие применения характерных для логики и риторики категорий и приемов анализа, и второй - период новой дихотомической теории (системная грамматика), сложившийся в 60-е годы XX века посредством применения системно-структурных методов исследования, в результате чего система зависимых частей комплексных (сложноподчиненных) предложений (СПП) была построена с учетом двух критериев: 1) формы, значения и функции; 2) структуры.
