SOME ELEMENTS OF MARCEL PROUST'S INDIVIDUAL THESAURUS

Abstract

A writer's thesaurus is the individualized space of the author's language personality evolution. The lexical structure of the works of the French writer Marcel Proust is notable for the prevalence of the perceptive component of semantics and synergetic parameters of context functioning. In Proust's discourse the semantics of language units is transformed under the influence of metaphor-metonymy narrative structures. The important component of Proust's thesaurus is the author's lexical neologisms.
