STEREOTYPE FEATURES SYSTEM IN THE CONCEPT RUSSIA STRUCTURE

Abstract

The author presents the results of studying the stereotypes about Russia and the Russians in the American journalistic discourse of the XIXth-XXIst centuries, suggests a stereotype understanding as a fixed in language steady forms, frequent in discourse and marked with national-cultural specificity and ideology estimating association of a concept, analyzes stereotypes in two aspects: substantial and language ones and distinguishes different stereotypes according to the sub-discourses types in which they are included: geo-political, politicalе, social, ethnic-cultural and everyday ones.
