PHRASEOLOGICAL DICTIONARIES WITH ANIMALS NAMES (LEXICOGRAPHICAL OVERVIEW)

Abstract

The author states that zoonymic phraseology is vivid informative material, and it conditions the interest of researchers seeking to systemize and consolidate it in some dictionaries, presents a brief overview of five phraseological dictionaries with animals names by the material of the English, French and Russian languages, pays attention to both macro- and microstructure of dictionaries, and concludes that among the variety of dictionaries types an ideographic dictionary is the most popular among the researchers of zoonymic phraseology.
