ACTIONAL SUBJECTLESS SENTENCES IN ENGLISH AND UKRAINIAN LANGUAGES

Abstract

The article is devoted to the comparative semantic analysis of actional subjectless sentences in the English and Ukrainian languages. The research is conducted within the limits of logic-semantic area in linguistics, which is based on the sentence semantic modelling. The semantic models of the English and Ukrainian subjectless sentences with different sets of sentence members conditioned by the verb are considered in the paper, the frequency of the analyzed sentences use in the text is ascertained with the help of quantitative analysis.
