POTENTIAL OF THE COURSE “FOREIGN LANGUAGE” IN THE FORMATION OF UNIVERSAL COMPETENCES OF THE STUDENTS OF ENGINEERING HIGHER SCHOOL

Abstract

The article is devoted to the problems of training specialists ready for the efficient professional activity in the modern world. The authors focus on the components of the universal competences to which they refer a certain set of personal qualities, emotional intellect and communicative competence. The special attention is paid to the pedagogical technologies which help to form the universal competences of the students of an engineering higher school within the framework of the course “Foreign language”.
