THE SUBJECT OF DEPORTATION IN THE PUBLICISM OF THE KARACHAY-BALKAR DIASPORA IN TURKEY

Abstract

The article considers the problem of reflecting events of the Karachay-Balkar people’s history in the publicism of the foreign diaspora, particularly the period of deportation. The reasons for deportation, the condemnation of stalinists’ national policy are the main topics of articles by the Karachay-Balkar publicists in the 1950-1960-s. The author also analyzes the speeches on the "Radio of Liberty" of the famous scientist Makhmud Dudov, who had a certain influence on the formulation of the problem of rehabilitation of peoples punished by Stalin.
