SYNTACTICAL CHARACTERISTICS OF VERBAL PERIPHRASIS (BY THE MATERIAL OF THE SPANISH LANGUAGE)

Abstract

The article deals with the linguistic essence of periphrastic constructions in the Spanish language. The number of basic definitions of verbal paraphrases is given, the semantic analysis of its basic semantic features is carried out. The role and characteristics of the auxiliary verb and verboid as key components of verbal periphrasis are identified. The author makes an attempt to reveal the main criteria for determining the verbal periphrasis by the principle of selection of syntactical characteristics of the structure.
