MEMORY OF WORLD WAR II IN THE POLISH LITERATURE

Abstract

The article considers the development of the theme of World War II and the occupation in the Polish literature, beginning with the first works that appeared during the war. The author substantiates the idea that, despite the tendentiousness in the coverage of many events and phenomena of the war years in the literature of socialist Poland, this literature has preserved the memory of the heroic struggle of the Polish Resistance and passed it to the next generations.
