A lot of philosophers and writers referred to the theme of enjoyment and pleasure, and W. Pater was one of them. This article touches upon the study of hedonism, basing on the writer’s late creative work. In the literary cycle “Imaginary Portraits” (1887) W. Pater continued to develop his concept of aesthetic hedonism and added a new aspect to it.
