THE PHONETIC PECULIARITIES OF THE GEBA PATOIS OF THE DARGWA LANGUAGE. VOWEL SYSTEM

Abstract

The work is devoted to the research of the dialect system of the Dargwa language. The Dargwa language is the most differentiated in terms of dialect in comparison with the other Dagestanian languages. The dialect peculiarities are expressed clearly, including at the phonetic level. The article deals with the issues of functioning of the vowel system in the Geba patois of the Dargwa language. The author studies the problems of vowel length, pharingalization which occur in a number of dialects, but are absent in the Geba patois.
