ON GENETIC RELATIONSHIP OF THE IBERO-CAUCASIAN LANGUAGES IN THE COMPARATIVE HISTORICAL ASPECT

Abstract

The article provides comparative-historical analysis of the lexical and morphological material of the modern Lezghian language. The authors aim to reconstruct pra-Lezghian phono-morphological forms of the certain bases which were not previously investigated in the Lezghian studies. The basic laws of lexical transformation are identified. Where it is necessary, the researchers refer not only to the Nakho-Dagestanian but also to the Abkhazo-Adyghean and Kartvelian languages.
