REGIONAL SPECIFICS OF THE HISTORICAL SONGS EXISTED ON KOLYMA (BY THE EXAMPLE OF THE SONG ON SKOPIN)

Abstract

The article discovers the specifics of functioning of the historical songs recorded at the end of the XIX century at the north-east of Yakutia by the example of the historical song “The mother used to say to Skopin”. Russian folklore on Kolyma has its own peculiarities which indicate not only the interrelation of epic folklore in Yakutia and in the Russian North but also the difference of Kolyma variants from the Russkoye Ustye and the gradual loss of the song’s images and motives. Russian folklore in isolation from the maternal folklore developed under the influence of the Yakut language.
