THE STRUCTURE AND SEMANTICS OF THE ENGLISH NEOLOGISMS OF THE THEMATIC GROUP “FAMILY LIFE”

Abstract

In the article the semantics and structure of the English neologisms related to the thematic group “Family life”, revealing the various life styles of modern people, are described. The data structure of the neologisms is presented by composition, affixation, conversion and abbreviations. At the heart of the neologisms there are object, gender, and somatic components, but there is a clear trend of prevalence of object semantic components, describing the human behavior.
