COMPOUND SENTENCES WITH THE CONJUNCTION “VA” OF CONNECTING TYPE IN THE KUMYK LANGUAGE

Abstract

The article deals with the issue of compound sentences with the conjunction “va” of connecting type in the Kumyk language. In this context the author studies a lexical composition that shows the character of the semantic link of the parts and determines the structural properties of compound sentences. The conjunction “va” has many functions. It connects statements having the character of simultaneity, sequence, cause-effect relation and the effectiveness of events in the compound sentence.
