STUDYING A. S. PUSHKIN’S CREATIVE WORK BY FOREIGN STUDENTS (BY THE EXAMPLE OF “THE TALE OF THE FISHERMAN AND THE FISH”)

Abstract

The article examines the specifics of studying A. S. Pushkin’s creative work by foreign students by the example of “The Tale of the Fisherman and the Fish”. Introducing the poet’s personality, the conditions, under which his character was formed and the analysis of his tale gives the students an idea of the peculiarities of the writer’s philosophical and esthetical search. Informational material helps foreigners to penetrate deeper into the sphere of A. S. Pushkin’s individual creative consciousness, to adopt the basics of the Russian culture and the Russian language. The researcher emphasizes that acquaintance with the great Russian poet’s creative work allows foreign students to broaden their conceptions of his life and creativity and to understand that the theme of freedom is the key one in his works.
