Abstract

The Azerbaijan language refers to the Oghuz branch of the Turkic languages. The elements of non-cognate languages presented in Azerbaijan are revealed in it together with the common Turkic genetically cognate stratum. In the process of the development of the Azerbaijan literary language and its functional styles the Russian language played an enormous role, it is also a means of international communication in our country as well. One of the principal means of the enrichment of the vocabulary of the modern Azerbaijan language is loan words from and through the Russian language.
