FUNCTIONAL POSSIBILITIES OF THE PROPOSITION “CAUSATOR” IN THE SYNTACTIC CAUSATIVE (BY THE MATERIAL OF THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE)

Abstract

The article is devoted to researching the functional posssibilities of the proposition “causator” in the syntactic causative, which is presented by the verbs let, make, have, get in the English language. The taxonomic category, in which the causative verb is used, correlates with the type of the causator. Besides functional possibilities of the causator depend on such parameters as agentivity / non-agentivity, the level of controllability of the causative situation.
