THE OLD TATAR LITERARY LANGUAGE IN THE LATE XIX - EARLY XX CENTURY: FUNCTIONAL AND STYLISTIC PECULIARITIES OF USING ADVERBIAL PARTICIPLE ENDING IN -ЫП (-YP)

Abstract

At the end of the XIX - beginning of the XX century the Old Tatar literary language began to function in the new literary and journalistic genres. In the works of the Tatar writers-educators and publicists of that period the Tatar language obtained its material embodiment through the specific, functionally and socially stipulated forms of verbal activity. The needs of the society of that time determined the purposes, nature and atmosphere of the perception of new works, which influenced the choice of language means in them. In the article by the example of the material extracted from the works of the Tatar writers-educators and newspaper texts the authors reveal the functional and stylistic potential of one of the traditional verbal forms of the Old Tatar literary language, namely adverbial participle ending in -ып (-ур) .
