HYPONYMIC AND COMPONENT ANALYSIS OF THE SEMANTIC FIELD “DESTINY” IN THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE

Abstract

The article provides the description of the semantic field “destiny” in the English language relying on the hyponymic analysis of this conceptual sphere. The author analyzes the aspectual relations of the mentioned lexemes and classifies them into the semantic groups and subgroups according to their distinctive features which were identified by the detailed analysis of their meanings. Relying on the proposed classification the researcher conducts a component analysis.
