COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS OF THE CONCEPT “TRUTH / VERITY” IN THE RUSSIAN AND FRENCH LANGUAGE WORLDVIEWS
Abstract
The article is devoted to a comparative analysis of the concept “Truth / Verity” in the Russian and French language worldviews. The categories of verity and truth have been differently interpreted throughout the ages by various philosophers. These concepts represent the idea of how the thought of knowledge and ignorance of something, of the boundaries of this knowledge, looks in linguoculture (French and Russian). The notions of verity and truth are connected with the realization of the duality of being by mankind.
