THE ROLE OF LITERARY INNOVATION OF Z. N. GIPPIUS IN THE FORMATION OF RUSSIAN MODERNISM

Abstract

The article is devoted to the creative work of Z. N. Gippius, the legislator of tastes in the art of the Silver Age. The main focus is on the literary discoveries of Gippius in the field of form and content. At the content level, innovation was realized in new conceptions of the traditional themes of Russian literature - God-seeking, love, death. At the level of form, innovation manifested itself in the principle of antinomy, in experiments with meter, rhymes, rhythm of poetic texts. Her search in the field of form was continued in the work of Symbolists, Acmeists, Futurists, and also became topical in the poetry of the second half of the ХХ century.
