THE LANGUAGE OF GAMERS AS A PART OF YOUTH SLANG

Abstract

The subject of the research in the article is the language of gamers as a component of the youth vocabulary. The neologisms, which are one of the ways to replenish the language of gamers, are used as the research material. The basic models of their creation are revealed. The article concludes that the language of gamers is not only a computer terminology associated with online games, but also slang forms of a language, formed in the process of gamers’ communication. Theoretical positions are supported by actual examples from the language of the German-speaking gamers.
