THE CONSIDERATION OF THE ARABIC ARGUMENTATIVE RHETORIC PECULIARITIES IN TEACHING THE ARABIC VERSION OF BUSINESS ENGLISH TO STUDENTS OF THE ORIENTAL FACULTY

Abstract

The article examines the specific features of business Arabic rhetoric. The authors highlight the characteristic features of the Arabic argumentative discourse and justify the need to take them into account when teaching the Arabic version of business English to students of the Oriental faculty. Basing on the analysis of the materials of the Arabic political leaders’ speeches, the strategies peculiar to this linguistic culture are highlighted: the indirect presentation of the material, the application of cross-cutting arguments, the use of parallel structures and the use of metadiscourse and allegories from the Koran.
