DAGESTANI LITERATURE IN ANTICIPATION OF THE “THAW”

Abstract

The article is devoted to the modern interpretation of the development of the Dagestani peoples’ literatures in the post-war decade in the aspect of resisting the ideological cliché of that time, the democratization of literary thought, which found its full expression in Soviet literature during the “thaw” period, in the second half of the 1950s. Basing on the research carried out in the works of G. Tsadasa, T. Khuryugsky, A. Batyrov, Atkai, and others, innovative phenomena are revealed that indicate a certain evolution of the national literary process. Confirmation of this is the activation of the problems of private life, ethno-national originality, an accented depiction of the inner world, the experience of lyrical heroes, etc., inherent in their creativity.
