SPECIFICITY OF FIGURATIVE PERCEPTION OF SUCH HUMAN PHYSICAL CHARACTERISTIC AS SLENDERNESS

Abstract

The article aims to reconstruct the segment of the Adyghe (Circassian), French and Russian linguistic worldviews reflecting a comprehensive conception of reality perception ascertained as a result of self-reflection and self-identification of the three different nations and acquiring specific linguistic implementation in each of the compared cultures. The authors identify the correlations of the linguistic signs representing a somatic cultural code and the mental structures manifested by the metaphor. The paper concludes that the correlations of the “beauty” notion in different linguo-cultures submerge us into the space of universal human culture. The article contributes to the series of the papers studying the functioning of the “beauty” notion in the three languages of different structure and the three cultures. The study focuses on identifying the national peculiarities of perceiving such physical characteristic as slenderness, beautiful constitution, in the compared cultures and its linguistic implementation.
