NATIONAL-CULTURAL ASPECT OF PROPER NAMES FUNCTIONING (ON THE GERMAN LANGUAGE MATERIAL)

Abstract

The article is devoted to the problem of personal proper names semantics and to the peculiarities of their functioning in fiction text where different connotations are realized. The authors pay special attention to background knowledge as the reflection of cultural, national, social and historical knowledge of a man about himself.
