CONCEPTUAL OPPOSITION “RESPONSIBILITY-IRRESPONSIBILITY” AS COMPONENT OF ENGLISH LANGUAGE CONSCIOUSNESS

Abstract

The paper studies the English language consciousness, and notions underlying it and conditioning its ethnic-cultural features, reveals the structure of the concepts “responsibility” and “irresponsibility”, forming conceptual opposition. The author undertakes the attempt to prove that this conceptual opposition occupies an important place in the structure of the English language consciousness and is represented in the English culture; and concludes that the formation of the modern English language consciousness fragment by analyzing the cultural significance of conceptual opposition makes this work topical.
