AUTHOR – NARRATOR – CHARACTER IN POEM “PRODIGAL SON” BY V. BRYUSOV

Abstract

The author considers the fusion of character’s text with narrator’s text, which is typical of many lyrical works. The only “point of view” in the poem represents the subjective experience and reflects the spiritual experience of lyrical character – the prodigal son – as the evidence of changes in his condition. The primary object for modeling the story-fable structure of lyrical work, which has an inner plot, was the mythological model with coded meanings.
