FUNCTIONAL-SEMANTIC AND TRANSLATIONAL ASPECTS OF PRESENT PARTICIPLES (BY THE EXAMPLE OF INDUSTRY MASS MEDIA CUSTOMS DISCOURSE IN THE FRENCH LANGUAGE)

Abstract

The article analyzes the functioning of present participles in the professional customs literature in the French language. It is revealed that these forms are the specificity of lexical component in customs discourse because of their certain frequency and regularity of use in the analyzed literature. It is stated that the semantics of participles is correlated with the semantics of nouns that represent the subject matter of customs sphere and reveal the types of activity in this sphere. Translational aspect of participles is considered, the constructions, which have some problems of translation into the Russian language, are given.
