PSYCHOLOGICAL AND PEDAGOGICAL ASPECTS OF ENGLISH-FOR-SPECIFIC-PURPOSES COURSE DESIGN: ANALYSIS OF LEARNING THEORIES

Abstract

The article analyses the ideas from basic theories of learning that can be used to form some notions and build models of the learning process when designing a course of English for specific purposes. The effect of different theories of learning – behaviorism, mentalism, cognitivism, affective factors and language acquisition – on the teaching of a foreign language for specific purposes is revealed.
