“BEYOND POETRY”: LYRIC AND EPIC COMPONENTS OF “THE CZAR FISH” BY V. ASTAFYEV (BY THE MATERIAL OF CHAPTER-STORY “THE DROP”)

Abstract

The article characterizes the genre specificity of a chapter-story “The Drop”, and by its means defines more exactly the features of architectonics and genre of the whole “The Czar Fish” by V. Astafyev. The chapter-story singles out publicist, idyllic, lyric and epic components, evaluates their interaction and synthesis, determines the role of poetic inclusions, uses and introduces new critical and biographical material into scientific circulation. The idea of ​​a synthetic nature of “The Drop” genre and the whole “narrative in stories” is stated and proved.
