THE ARTISTIC AND PHILOSOPHICAL CONCEPTION OF YE. I. ZAMYATIN' WORKS ABOUT ENGLAND

Abstract

The authors tell about the artistic and philosophical conception of the Russian writer Ye. I. Zamyatin. In his works English subject matter has taken root which allows us to understand the true ideals of the writer. It is possible to see a view of the Russian person which is sharp and accurate. Zamyatin's attitude towards England was complicated and ambiguous and had not only general philosophical but also a merely national interest. The requests about sending the Russian literature and complaints about loneliness abound.
