THE CONTEXTUAL DEPENDENCE OF THE REFERENTIAL MEANINGS OF THE PRESENT IN THE FRENCH AND RUSSIAN LANGUAGES

Abstract

The article in the process of contextual analysis identifies the temporal meanings and referential peculiarities of the forms of the Present Tense in the French and Russian languages different from their systemic meaning. The authors identify that apart from the paradigmatic meaning of nunc simultaneousness the mentioned forms may have the meanings of nunc and tunc precedence and also tunc succession in relation to various referential points.
