EXTRALINGUISTIC FACTORS OF VOCABULARY GATHERING OF ONLINE URBAN DICTIONARY

Abstract

The article is devoted to the study of such type of linguistic resources as an interactive online-dictionary. By the example of anthroponyms-slangisms of the online-dictionary of the English-language slang Urban Dictionary, the author studies the extralinguistic factors of supplementation of vocabulary of such resources. In the process of the analysis the spheres-sources of anthroponyms- slangisms of Urban Dictionary are researched, some motives which are followed by the users of the resource while endowing precedent anthroponyms with a secondary meaning are revealed.
