ACTUALIZATION OF THE CONCEPT "DREAM" IN POETIC DISCOURSE

Abstract

In the article the linguocultural characteristics of the concept "dream" are revealed on the basis of the analysis of the ways of its realization in the poetic discourse, namely in the romantic poems of John Keats. The complex of explicata is divided into three main and the fourth additional groups. Through the last group of realizations within the concept "dream" the characteristic of combining the semantics of "conscious ideas about something" and "unconscious illusions during sleep" is found. The description of the main groups of realizations allows revealing the concept "dream" content and the dual realization of the concept such as "sleep-dream" is its distinguishing feature in English linguoculture.
