DIFFERENT WAYS OF EXECUTION OF THE PRINCIPLE OF POLITENESS IN DECLARATIVE STATEMENTS OF ENGLISH COLLOQUIAL SPEECH
Abstract
The article reveals the specificity of peculiarities of using the rules of speech behavior in English declarative statements. Special attention is drawn to the various manifestations of the principle of politeness in the speech behavior of communicants, on the basis of which the authors conclude that the main form of this principle implementation is lessening of the statement categoricity, the means of representation of which should be considered by way of the frequency of their use in modern English colloquial speech.
