PHRASEOLOGICAL UNITS OF HIGH STYLISTIC TONE

Abstract

The article considers the most significant stylistic layer - book phraseology. An attempt is undertaken to analyze the functioning of book phraseology in the language of literary works. The author substantiates the thesis that book phraseological units have the heightened emotional-stylistic colouring of formality, solemnity and poetry, and are used mainly in the book speech.
