ABOUT THE VOCABULARY OF THE “BRIEF CHEREMISS DICTIONARY WITH THE RUSSIAN TRANSLATION”

Abstract

The article examines the lexical structure of one of the first written monuments of the Mari language of the XVIII century. The vocabulary of the dictionary is compared with the lexical units of other lexicographic sources of the XVIII century, in particular, with the lexicographic materials of the first Mari grammar (1775) and “The Dictionary of the Cheremiss language with the Russian translation” (1785).
