“STORY ABOUT 'ABD AL-QADIR GILANI AND HIS MURID” BY THE TATAR SUFI POET ABULMANIH KARGALY

Abstract

The article presents an analysis of the poetic works of the Tatar Sufi poet A. Kargaly about 'Abd al-Qadir Gilani and his disciple, including two independent plots, which are based on the understanding of the significance and importance of the Sufi sheikh’s role in the life of his disciple, murid. Repentance (Tawbah) and spiritual rebirth are central motifs of the work. The original features and the author’s interpretation of the story are revealed.
