MOTIVATING SIGNS OF THE IHTIONYMS OF THE ORDER CYPRINIFORMES IN THE SELKUP LANGUAGE

Abstract

The article examines the group of ihtionyms of the order Cypriniformes in the Selkup language. The author provides an analysis of the external form of the words, identifies the peculiarities of nominations in the sphere of consonantism and vocalism. Focusing on the internal form of the lexemes the researcher subsequently reveals the sources of origin and motivating signs of the nominations of fishes taking into consideration extra-linguistic factors.
