Abstract
The article is devoted to the image of Golden Age in the novel “The Adolescent” by F. M. Dostoyevsky. In his works the ancient myth of the previous harmonious existence of the mankind is placed in the characters’ dreams and manifests their longing for the lost touch with reality, their hope to find happiness for all people. In the literature about Dostoyevsky the dream of a Golden Age in the story "The Dream of a Ridiculous Man" was analyzed in detail, but Stavrogin’s dream in the novel “Demons” and Versilov’s dream in the novel “The Adolescent” were somehow neglected.
