STYLISTIC USE OF PHRASEOLOGICAL UNITS IN THE ENGLISH AND RUSSIAN NEWSPAPER LANGUAGE
Abstract
The article examines the functioning of phraseological units within the framework of the publicistic style. The author analyzes the means to use and transform the phraseological units. The provided examples show that their expressive possibilities can be used differently depending on the themes of the newspaper material, on the specific purposes and general stylistic intentions of an author.
