A SOCIOLINGUISTIC ASPECT OF THE TRANSLATION THEORY

Abstract

The article is devoted to the examination of the problems of contemporary translation studies from the positions of sociolinguistics, at the same time the issues of language relation to social roles of communication participants, and also the impact of status and social position on the language are in the focus of attention. The conclusions about the regularities of dialects and sociolects translation are of significant interest, a well-reasoned evaluation of the theory “justification” of a socially coloured text while its translation into another language is given.
