ON THE ISSUE OF SINGLING OUT NEOLOGISMS IN A NEWSPAPER TEXT (BY THE MATERIAL OF THE FRENCH LANGUAGE)

Abstract

The article considers the criteria of singling out neologisms in the texts of the French newspapers, the drawbacks of the given criteria are revealed. The most relevant among them are highlighted. The author comes to the conclusion about the necessity to rely on several criteria while extracting neologisms, as neither of them is self-sufficient, and effective only in conjunction with other criteria.
