THE COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS OF FIXED EXPRESSIONS WITH A COMPONENT “СЕМЬ - QI” (SEVEN) IN THE RUSSIAN AND CHINESE LANGUAGES

Abstract

The article is devoted to the comparative linguo-culturological analysis of fixed expressions with the numeral “семь” - “qi” (seven) in the Russian and Chinese languages. It is revealed that the semantics of these units reflects the symbolic content of the numeric code peculiar to the culture of each nation: in Russian phraseological units with the numeral “семь” (seven) the most ancient universal metric worldview is represented, and the meaning of the relevant Chinese units is determined by property of the number “7” as a “cosmic number”.
