CULTURAL BACKGROUND OF W. MORRIS’ LATE NOVELS

Abstract

The study is executed within the discourse-analysis framework, the six late novels by William Morris (United Kingdom, 1834-1896) served as a research material. All these works are written in a style more or less similar to the style of late medieval romance novels therefore in the aspect of translation studies it seems to be very important to identify the hyper-textual element of this style.
