COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS OF REPRESENTING THE GENDER FEATURE OF FEMININITY IN THE ENGLISH AND RUSSIAN PROVERBS AND SAYINGS

Abstract

The article provides comparative analysis of the English and Russian proverbs and sayings according to gender feature of femininity. The originality of the research lies in the fact that English and Russian proverbs and sayings for the first time are systematized on the basis of comparative classification according to gender feature. The paper shows the peculiarities of representing the gender feature of femininity in the English and Russian paroemias, identifies their similarities and differences.
