ON THE ISSUE OF THE STUDY OF RELATION BETWEEN THE NOTIONS “JOURNALISTIC STYLE” AND “NEWSPAPER LANGUAGE”

Abstract

Journalistic style combines characteristic features of several functional styles of literary language. In the process of scientific study of newspaper language, despite internal significant genre division, all the texts of a newspaper are perceived as one indivisible phenomenon - newspaper language. According to the author, in scientific research newspaper language should be considered as a part of mass media language, but within the system of the nationwide language, not only the literary one.
