INTERVIEW AS AN APPEAL TO THE AUDIENCE

Abstract

The article is devoted to the factors determining speech behaviour of the interview participants. The interview is considered from the point of view of the situation of communication and the purposes of the communicants. The grammatical, stylistic and compositional features of the interview, having informal character, are analyzed. The author pays attention to the presence of implicit target setting in the interview with the politician. The notion of latent monologue in the interview is introduced. The study reveals the peculiarities of speech and communicative behaviour of the interview participants, ensuring the realization of the manipulative potential of the interview.
